FROM THE OTTAWA CITIZEN.......
LORENZO BERROA WAS SIGNED TO THE OTTAWA  FILIBUSTERS TODAY.
After signing a deal with a 6.2 million dollar bonus Lorenzo Berroa was said to be associated in a bar fight where one person was seriously injured.

Nobody can prove Lorenzo Berroa was there dressed as a star wars storm trooper as you can see in this actual footage. So Lorenzo Berroa will still report to Ottawa on time along with his well documented 4 seamer and devastating change up.
From MLB Insider ....... Ex ballplayer and first year reporter Tom Glavine (you heard it here first)  reports that exactly half of the 8 games played on opening day were shutouts ......... when 100 kids in public schools were surveyed how many games is that, 62% got the correct answer (survey provided by Gallup polls).

BALTIMORE BIG GUNS

FROM THE BALTIMORE CHRONICLE ...........
Local bars have been  polled by Baltimore officials, the fans have spoke loudly (and a lot were actually slurring)  that they believe there BIG GUNS will flex this year and win the NL  EAST. When asked about the cities enthusiasm the Baltimore Coach just smiled and replied,
"Our city has the best fans in the world, and if they believe it why shouldn't the team?"

From the Kansas City  Star .........
With budgets set Kansas City has painted its first Masterpiece spending  over 83 million dollars.... 15 million more than anyone else in their division. 82 year old equipment manager Freddie "BBQ" Pinkle says he remembers when 15 million would pay for the entire MLB back in 1955 when that team from Philly had moved here.

44 DOWN 8 TO GO
An article written in the Cincinnati News ............. mentioned  that the Double Mendoza world was well on its way to have a deck of playing cards designed after each of the first 52 trades made. When reached on phone the reporter Russell "steamboat"  Morgan (no relation to the card playing card company), had said "We have not decided whether the ace of spades would represent the strongest trade or the most lop sided trade, but it will be a collectors item."
From our insider from a another baseball world ruled by Bud Selig .....Ichiro.
Ichiro resides in the same city  as the number 2 starter for the Richmond team. Kasugai, Japan know for its beautiful gardens (not pictured). What Ichiro was able to find out from a telephone conversation with the veteran Tony Kim was that he feels at home in Richmond and that spring training is going very well. Tony went on to add, " I just wish someone could make some good sushi out here".
Well I am sure Ichiro will send some some sushi to his old friend out on the east coast maybe on "Tony Kim Bobble Head Night" for the 8/25 am scheduled game against Baltimore ..... the big guns.
THE LAS VEGS SUN
The Las Vegas Sun has the new odds out for season 1 of the Double Mendoza World.
Richmond Spider Monkeys are 500 - 1 0dds to claim the first World Championship trophy
leading the way would be the Tucson Pilots at 3- 1 odds.
This blog for the Richmond Spider Monkeys is not a blog to explain my moves as a GM, nor is it a blog to explain the talents of my rosters. This blog is actually a gathering of newspaper articles published around the world of the Spider Monkeys, it will by all means bore a number of you and maybe humor even a lesser number. If there are grammatical eras or any other kind of eras please send your complaints to the original source not to this blog. Thank You.
